Privacy

This site collects almost nothing. What follows is a description of how it is actually built rather than a template, so every claim here can be checked against the page in front of you.

What this site counts, and what it does not

There is one analytics product: Vercel Web Analytics, run by the same host that already serves these pages. It counts page views without cookies. Each view records the page, the site you came from, a rough location, and your browser, operating system and device type. Vercel tells visits apart with a hash of the request, which it discards after a day, rather than with anything stored on your device, and what comes back to me is totals, not a record of you.

If you say yes to the banner at the bottom of the page, the site also loads Google Analytics. It sets two cookies, _ga and one whose name starts _ga_, so it can tell a return visit from a new one. It records the pages you view, the site you came from, a rough location, and your browser and device. Google processes that under its own privacy policy. If you say no, or never answer, Google Analytics does not load and no Google cookie is set.

With that same yes, a few named events go to Google Analytics as well: a click on a booking button, a sample of the work scrolled into view, the booking page opening, the calendar opening, a booking that Calendly itself confirms, and whether a form was received. Each carries the page, where on the page the click was, and any campaign tag in the link you arrived from. None carries your name, email address, anything you typed into a form, or anything about your job search. Without a yes, no event leaves your browser.

Your answer is saved in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie, so the site can remember it without setting one. You can change it at any time, and saying no after a yes deletes the Google Analytics cookies.

There is no pixel from any advertising network and no advertising cookie. Fonts are served from this domain rather than from a font host, so loading a page does not tell a third party that you read it. Apart from the page counter, the consent banner and the event script above, every page except the booking page runs no client-side code, and a page with a form adds one short script that sends it.

The one embedded third party

The booking page embeds a calendar from Calendly so you can pick a time without leaving the site. That embed loads Calendly's script, and the script sets cookies this site does not control and cannot remove while the calendar is embedded. Measured on the built page, they are:

  • __cf_bm and _cfuvid, Cloudflare bot management cookies, set from assets.calendly.com and calendly.com.
  • m, set from m.stripe.com, which Calendly's booking bundle loads.

Those cookies are set by Calendly and Stripe, not by this site, and they are covered by their own privacy notices. No other page on this site loads them. If you would rather not have them set at all, use zeecareers07@gmail.com instead of the calendar.

This is recorded here rather than hidden because it is the one place where a third party sets cookies without you choosing it, and a privacy page that quietly omitted it would be worth less than no page at all.

What you send, and where it goes

If you email, the message sits in an ordinary mailbox at Zee Careers. If you book a call, Calendly holds the name, email address and time you gave it, under its own terms.

The optional forms on this site are not currently connected to a delivery service, so no form on this site submits anywhere. Email and the calendar are the working routes.

Nothing you share about a job search is passed to an employer, a recruiter or anyone else without your agreement, and your current employer is not contacted. No client is named, quoted or shown on this site without written permission, and any example published here is redacted first.

There is no mailing list, so there is nothing to unsubscribe from. To have correspondence deleted, ask at zeecareers07@gmail.com and it will be removed from the mailbox.

Hosting and logs

The site is static files served by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes request data such as your IP address in the ordinary course of delivering a page and defending against abuse. That processing is Vercel's, governed by its own privacy notice, and this site neither stores those logs nor builds anything from them.

This notice describes the site as it is built today. When page counting and then Google Analytics were added, this page changed with them, and anything else the site starts doing will be described here first.
